USB-C connected Zigbee Router

The 2024 TubesZB Router Uses the same modules used in the TubesZB Network connected coordinators for easy upgrades and serviceability.

Choose a radio based on your needs as well.

  • TI CC2652-P7 – a powerful dedicated router device for your mesh
  • Silicon Labs EFR32 MGM24 – a super powered dedicated router for your mesh

Update an existing 2023 or later network coordinator with a new module! Recycle your existing one as a router. Flash the new module with coordinator firmware, swap the module to the PoE board and flash the older device module as a router.

Please note some users with Sengled bulbs experience issues when used in combination with the TI Z-Stack router like the TubesZB Router with TI CC2652-P2/7 Module.

Works great. Integrated instantly with Home Assistant ZHA.

  3. Caleb (verified owner)

It worked great to extend my Zigbee network. This router with the external antenna is exactly what I needed because it connects to the tubeszb coordinator where literally nothing else would, now I have a robust backhaul for an exterior building on the same Zigbee network.

If I had one critique it would be that the 3D printed case isn’t easily mounted anywhere. I can’t get either of my tubeszb products to stick with double sided tape and I’m going to have to design my own case if I want it to stay on the wall.

  4. Jason (verified owner)

Super high quality build. This is my second TubesZB product and they are both working great. I especially like the PoE version of the coordinator.

Works great. Be advised that the micro USB connector is only for power, no data. There are serial header pins on the board if needed. There is a Home Assistant add-on that makes it easy to flash firmware. I’m using it as a coordinator to control my lights and it’s been great.

Can i add this to zigstar Uzg? Diogo asked on July 17, 2024

UZG is just a radio, if using ZHA or Z2M it will work fine.

Is there documentation on the LED colors and their meaning? Michael asked on July 9, 2024

there is one LED that should always power on if the router firmware boots. it shows that the firmware boots, and that there is a good power connection. the second led is for future undetermined use.

Are you planning on any more stock soon? SZ asked on June 24, 2024

Yes, I actually made some last night but misplaced the micro-USB parts so wasn't able to fully complete them. I will have more parts by the end of the week though so this coming weekend or early next week is looking like when they will be back in stock. planning on making a large batch.

What is the power supply for your repeater/router? Will it work with Smartthings v2 hub? Harry asked on March 16, 2024

It is powered via user supplied microUSB 5V 1-2 amp power supply. I can't say for certain it works with Smartthings v2. I have heard it works with Hubitat if that helps.

What else can i do to get this device to be discovered? I’ve reset it and it’s never been discovered. Colin asked on February 17, 2024

Have network in joining mode and tab the BSL button, it should join straight away, if not the only time I have seen issues is when there is interference
