Bloody awesome. Works great with Home Assistant and my Hue bulbs and other Zigbee devices. To be honest I had kinda forgotten that I have it until I got the e-mail asking if I’d review it, because it just works and never makes a fuss.

  2. Matthew (verified owner)

Another great product from TubesZB. These are easy to work with and easier to place.

  3. Paul H. (verified owner)

This device has served me flawlessly. It was easy to setup and the support was clear. My server was in another building so I could not use a Zigbee USB Dongle. Simply connecting this to the network turned out to be very convenient.

  4. Michael G. (verified owner)

Central location and range is excellent. Working g well with MQTT. Setup and firmware was not trouble free but support was quick and helpful.

My TubesZB PoE coordinator has probably been the most impactful change to my Zigbee configuration when it comes to reliability and stability. And Byron’s prompt replies have always shown a clear commitment to customer service. You won’t go wrong with these devices.

Not my first order at TubesZB, but always an impeccable quality! Really like how it also uses esphome and blends into the rest of my setup seamlessly

Can I print a modified case using PLA? I originally ordered a black case, but looking at it now, I'd rather have white. Can I reprint this? Jackson asked on January 9, 2024

Absolutely, the stl files for the enclosure are on GitHub: https://github.com/tube0013/tube_gateways/tree/main/models/current

each model has a folder with the stl files.

If I have your P2, is there any upgrade path besides junking the old one and replacing it with a new one? Marc asked on November 25, 2023

For the products with 2023 in the name there will be a path to upgrade with kit that includes a usb board/case for using the old module as a router. I am working out whether to make a model for the 2022. For older devices where the zigbee module and esp32 are soldered to a pcb, you could flash the device a router to reuse.

Can you explain to a newbie of the Home Automation world what advantages the end user gets over the P2 with the P7s increased flash and SRAM? Cheers! Chief_Taco asked on November 4, 2023

The increased flash can allow for a larger firmware in the future. The increased SRAM gives the coordinator more space for larger tables which hold routing information for the mesh network.
